Directions and Map to MW Bar Ranch Mountain Lodge

MW Bar Ranch is located in the northern part of Taos County close to the state line between New Mexico and Colorado. It is 50 miles north of Taos, NM and 29 miles south of San Luis, CO. It is the premier lodge often sought for its proximity to the Valle Vidal and the Costilla River. The Valle Vidal offers superb fly fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing, and hunting.

Our rooms and cabin book well in advance. We have regular guests that visit from around the world. Come visit too!

The Amalia area has great outdoor opportunities but limited to nonexistent shopping or dining. Guests should plan for visiting a remote area. Your cell phone will not work here so make sure you’re comfortable with the directions. Be careful to keep driving straight at the turnoff to the old ski area. The road will narrow and you may see a sign that says Taos County B-060. Continue one more mile to MW Bar Ranch. Our gate may be closed at times to keep horses in or cows out but the gate will not be locked.
