Activities at MW Bar Ranch

All area activities listed are within a one hour drive of MW Bar Ranch Bed and Breakfast with the exception of the Great Sand Dunes National Monument which is about 15 minutes further.

Many guests come to fly fish or hike while others sightsee and visit some of the nearby attractions. The Amalia area is remote, beautiful and peaceful. There are few people but many wild animals and birds to observe.

The Amalia area has lots of green vegetation during the summer months. The daytime temperatures are usually in the 80s while nights drop down to the 50s making the summer temperatures ideal. Spring and fall days are usually mild but nights can be cool. The winter can be very cold but most days are sunny making it pleasant for winter sports.
